Bolster Class

Bolsters are perfect for “letting go” onto at the end of the day, particularly if the body is feeling depleted, exhausted or stiff. Bolsters can help counteract the body’s ailments. They work wonderfully to offset bad posture, softly open up your chest, ribs and belly, improve blood flow to your key organs, encourage calmer breathing or reduce fatigue and stress in the body.
While participating in the bolster class, your body will feel deeply supported resting on a bolster and other props which will allow the body to release, relax and rejuvenate. Benefits from using the bolster are best felt the longer poses are experienced. In the bolster class we will enjoy our poses from five to ten minutes, allowing the body to really release into the stretching and opening.
For the bolster class, we will be on the mat (on the floor) the whole time and we will be holding poses for extended periods of time. Due to the nature of the class, body temperature may tend to drop quickly so it is recommended to dress warmly.
